The Midnight Destiny 9 Metaphysically gifted or cursed ? Who are they ? The Metaphysically gifted tend to work in isolation from one another, unless, as Mr. J. Whedon has documented, they are confronting the "Big Bad". The individuals, who are collectively referred to as The Midnight Destiny 9 or less frequently as The Hand of Glory, each has their own range of operation. ( See chart #1 ) However this group of supernatural sleuths have on more than one occasion come together to face threats of a particularly intense paranormal nature. We are dealing with them as part of Dark Pines' research into Gifted Anomalies for two reasons. Five of the members are active in Canada to varying degrees, and the group, in its function as a global supernatural security system, have operated on Canadian territory in a number of instances. How did they start ? WE hope eventually to reveal more about these individuals and how they came to form into this mysterious group. What can be revealed, based on our research, seems to suggest that this group is, if not actually cursed, joined by tragic paranormal circumstances. Promethea Weija Tchzerlarney, doctor of divination, has pointed out in her Almanack of Nine Stars that The Nine hold the destiny of the Twelve Gates of The Anni-buuss. Careful reading of her book does not provide much useful information. The Nine may be just highly technologically/biologically advanced beings from another dimension. On the other hand they may be actual metaphysical entities. Is the Anni-buuss some type of transportation device or some misspelled spell of Egyptian magic ? Maybe it is a mundane typo. Researchers for the Dept. of Gifted Anomalies as determined that all members of the MND9 appear to have died at least once. These deaths contributed to their metaphysical gifts. The name of the group appears to be tied to specific times of the groups meetings and activity. There is circumstantial evidence that suggests the group is not in full control of how or when they are brought together. This element of time and space plays into their other name. Those familiar with the powers of a Hand of Glory will know it suspends time or entrances for a specific period of time.
